Bedrooms
The Cedars provides thoughtfully furnished, well-equipped, private rooms, most with en-suite facilities.

Bathrooms & Facilities
Most bedrooms have en-suite facilities, however with a strong emphasis on independence and dignity, The Cedars also provides additional toilets and bathrooms, well equipped with aids to help Residents.

Housekeeping & Laundry Services
There is regular, thorough cleaning of all private rooms and communal areas to maintain a hygienic, spotless environment.

A comprehensive laundry service is carried out on site, using commercial equipment and is included within The Cedars’ fee structure. Dry cleaning fees are charged extra.

Emergency Call
Each room is provided with a Call Alarm System. Although primarily for emergencies, it can also be used to call for a member of staff.

Relaxing
There is ample space to sit and relax in one of The Cedars’ tastefully furnished lounges.

Dining
There are two light and airy dining rooms which overlook the walled garden. Tables are beautifully presented restaurant style with fine china and linen and every chair is well upholstered for support and comfort.

The Cedars prides itself on its high standards of cuisine. A menu created by skilled cooks caters for individual tastes and needs and particular attention is paid to providing nutritious well-balanced meals, using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Special diets for cultural, religious or medical reasons are catered for and drinks and snacks are available at any time during the day or night. Residents may dine in their own rooms if they wish.

Lifts
The Cedars provides a lift to access the upper floors and members of staff are always on hand for Residents who require assistance.

Telephones
Residents may have telephones installed in their rooms at their cost, or use mobile phones. Those not wishing to take up this option are welcome to use the pay phone to make outgoing calls and receive incoming calls through The Cedars' switchboard.

Ramps
Ramped access is provided at The Cedars.

Smoking
The Cedars operates a non-smoking policy.

Safety & Security
Safety is paramount. All furniture is flame resistant/retardant and staff undergo rigorous specialist training every six months. The fire evacuation procedure is well rehearsed.

The front door of The Cedars is operated using a security keypad (whilst not compromising Fire Regulations). Staff members are required to wear name badges at all times. All Visitors must sign in on arrival.

External Facilities

Car Parking
The Cedars provides ample parking for visitors. No liability is accepted for loss or damage whilst using this car park.

Gardens
The aptly names Cedars is surrounded by towering Cedar trees and a beautiful walled garden with water feature.
